We begin our journey by picking you up at the specified times from suitable locations. Along the way to Kars, we aim to introduce the cultural and geographical richness, history, and our memorials of our beautiful homeland to you, our valued guests, accompanied by in-vehicle refreshments.
We arrive in Kars in the early hours of the morning. After an optional breakfast, we head to our first stop, the Sarıkamış Ski Center, located among world-famous ski resorts. We reach the Sarıkamış ski center and enjoy the snow; guests who wish can ski or take the cable cars. Later, we visit the Sarıkamış Martyrs' Monument. The Sarıkamış Operation, in which the Ottoman Empire faced the Russian Tsar, began on December 22, 1914, under the command of Enver Pasha, aiming to regain the territories of Kars, Ardahan, and Batum, which were under occupation. The Sarıkamış Operation, launched with the support of Germany during World War I, is recorded in history as one of the heaviest defeats of the Ottoman army. The official figures from the Ottoman archives state that 60,000 soldiers died from freezing, with a total loss of 78,000 soldiers. It was one of the greatest military losses for the Ottoman army. We complete a pleasant day and then start our City Tour in Kars, which was under Russian control for about 40 years after the war known as the 93 War that took place between 1877-1878. We see the Hasan Harakani Tomb, who lived between 963-1033 and was martyred in a battle against the Byzantine army at the foot of Yahni Mountain; the Kümbet Mosque, built by King Abbas of Bagrat between AD 932-937, which has been a mosque since 1993; and the Stone Bridge built by Lala Mustafa Pasha on the orders of Ottoman Sultan Murad III in 1579. After panoramic views of Kars Castle, which was constructed by the vizier Firuz Akay in 1152 at the order of Sultan Melik İzzetin, we complete our shopping in Kars. We will stay at our hotel.

After we have breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Ani Ruins, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. You know how they say, "This city, which was the capital of Armenian Kings for a long time, came under Seljuk rule after 1064." After touring the City Walls, Ani Cathedral, and the Tigran Honents Church, we visit the Manucehr Mosque, the first mosque in Anatolia built after the Turks conquered the region. Following this, we walk along the street that served as a marketplace during the period when it was the capital of Armenia, where we observe the traces of a Fire Temple. Then we head to Lake Çıldır. For lunch, we taste the yellow fish caught from Lake Çıldır, and during our free time, you can take a tour around the frozen Lake Çıldır with a horse-drawn carriage or jet ski. After completing our visit to Lake Çıldır, we proceed to the city center of Kars. In the city center of Kars, we visit Kars Castle, the Great Cathedral (Fethiye Mosque), the Stone Bridge, Kümbet Mosque, and stone houses from the Soviet era, followed by some free time before heading to our hotel for a short rest and preparation for the evening. Afterward, we enjoy a wonderful night with dinner, live music, a Kars night show, a folklore performance, and a poets' contest. We will be staying at our hotel.

After breakfast, we head to Kars train station and embark on a pleasant four-hour journey to Erzurum in a compartment with seats. After our optional lunch, we begin our tour. (Çag Kebab is Recommended) We start exploring Erzurum, the largest city in Eastern Anatolia and the place where the foundations of the national struggle, national unity, and independence movement were laid. Our first stop is the Double Minarets Medrese, also known as Hatuniye Medrese, which is believed to have been built by Hundi Hatun, the daughter of Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat, or by a queen from the Ilkhanate dynasty. Following this, we see Ulu Mosque, Üç Kümbetler, and Yakutiye Medresesi in order. After these visits, we take a tea and coffee break in an authentic Erzurum House. We conclude our day with a visit to Taş Han, where we can see and shop for famous Oltu stone and items made from it, and then we begin our return journey. We bid farewell by dropping you off at the points we picked you up from, looking forward to meeting again at another RENTRAVEL organization.
